Donuts For Dads
Brookside School News Harvest Festival
On a Friday morning this month, Brookside Elementary School fathers and children filled the courtyard in front of the library, where they enjoyed fresh doughnuts, coffee, and juice before classes began. This PTSA-sponsored event has proved to be a real crowd-pleaser.
“It’s all pretty low key,” says Howard Chi who helped organize the event. “We simply invite folks to come in and enjoy the morning with their children and maybe meet a couple of people at the school.”
This breakfast-theme events was a great way to make new-to-school parents feel welcome. Brookside School student government and leadership group all volunteered to run the show.
